Find your mentor(s)! Last summer I had the privilege of working with the highly-talented and kind photographer, Lauren Elizabeth Parr. I had a mentorship session where she brought in a model, helped me with posing, lighting, camera setting, business tips, editing and so much more! This session was super informative and helpful for my growth as a photographer. I had a ton of fun working with Lauren and Savannah, who modeled for us. I have looked up to Lauren ever since I moved to Austin and began pursuing photography almost 4 years ago.
I definitely recommend finding a mentor in your niche, whether it is photography or anything else. Mentors have been in your position and are willing to use their experience and what they have learned to help you.
