The day has come! My college friend and roommate is engaged! Leahna and I met during our freshman year of college at St. Edward’s University. We met through a mutual friend who just knew we’d get along, and boy was he right! We signed up to live together our sophomore year and it was the best choice. Living with Leahna was so much fun. We stayed up late chatting, watching movies, hosted our friends, and just enjoyed our time as roommates. Unfortunately it only lasted one semester because of our university’s housing problems.
Still, we remained close and spent time together until graduation. After graduation, she moved away but we stayed in contact. We talked about Frank and I could already see how happy she was. When I found out she was engaged, I was overjoyed! Leahna asked if I would take their engagement pictures and I felt so honored. I immediately said of course!
I was so excited to meet Frank and see the two lovebirds together. Frank is just wonderful and the two are perfect together. I had never seen Leahna so happy and in love. It was so heartwarming and touching. Although the pair does not live in Austin, they came to town for the session. We met for our session at Auditorium Shores to have a gorgeous view of the skyline (one of my favorite spots).
During the session, we caught up, walked around, and just had fun. Whether I am familiar with the couple I am working with or not, my favorite part of engagement portraits is seeing how in love the couples are. Cheers to Leahna and Frank, I wish you two a lifetime of love and happiness!
